Hi, my name is Wade Finnegan and I am the owner and operator of Quality Writing Freelance Writing Service. I believe in the power of words. It is our ability to put our thoughts in writing that separates us from all other living creatures. As a freelance writer I devote my passion, energy and time to my clients wants. No project is too big or too small. I build personal relationships with my clients and editors in order to produce quality content that fits their needs.
I have enjoyed writing since grade school. Entering college I thought my destiny was to become a full-time journalist, but a little white ball derailed that idea. I tried my best to become a PGA Tour professional. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Portland State University in the area of Speech Communication, and completed as many writing courses as I could. After pursuing a career as a PGA professional, I decided to return to university and become an educator. I earned a Master’s Degree in teaching from Pacific University with emphasis in Special Education. More recently, I became a Reading Specialist and lead a very successful remediation program at a local high school. All the while, I wrote for enjoyment and the occasional publication. In the spring of 2011 I decided to write professionally and started Quality Writing.
I live in the beautiful state of Oregon and absolutely love the Pacific Northwest. My favorite leisure activity is fishing for Salmon and Steelhead. I have called Oregon home since day one, and never plan on leaving. It is truly a wonderful area to live. From my home in the Willamette Valley I can visit beaches, mountains, and desert all within a two-hour drive, which I do often. At 3:30 AM, while most people are fast asleep, you will find me fumbling around with fishing rods and tackle boxes heading out to my favorite river. Salmon and Steelhead fishing is in my blood, and my dedication to the sport may seem borderline neurotic to the casual observer, but when you have a plethora of opportunity at your front door you must commit.
My son, Zach, plays ice hockey, so most of my weekends are spent at the rink. Finding time for family is my highest priority. So many of my days are spent at an ice rink watching my son play hockey, or at a backyard barbeque. I appreciate the support of my lovely wife Kris, and how she puts up with my constant fussing over this business.
Thank you for stopping by.
